Rosemary & Garlic Bread
Ingredients
500g strong white flour
2 tsp dried yeast
2tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
hand-hot water
handful fresh rosemary, finely chopped
2 tbls extra-virgin olive oil
Sift flour and yeast into a bowl, add the salt, sugar and chopped rosemary and mix. Add the hand-hot water and oil and mix to form a dough. Knead for 10 minutes, the dough should be nicely springy. Rub with a little oil before putting back into the bowl and covering with a tea-towel. Leave for 1 hr to rise.
Knock back the dough and knead for a couple of minutes, shape and leave on a floured surface for about 30 minutes until the dough has risen. Place dough on a floured baking sheet or tray and bake for 35-40 minutes in 230C oven.
